I want time to myself, to sit and think, to organize my files, to go shopping for frivolous things, to cook a nice meal and stay up too late. I want my daughter to sleep at punctual intervals, to think my ideas of what to do are best, to laugh at my jokes and surprise my family and friends at how amazing she is. I want my husband to anticipate my needs, to make me swoon, to stare into my eyes and tell me all the ways I'm a great partner, a great mother and he's so lucky I'm a part of his life. I want to look back and laugh at how difficult it was when everything seemed new, how much I learned, and how wise I've become. I want to hug my mama friends and tell them how much their camaraderie has comforted me and kept me going when I wanted to give up. (laura)
